Tiny Puddle Reflections CAL

Crochet-a-long (CAL) for Tiny Puddle Reflections

This CAL is somewhere in the realm of mystery since we won’t know the exact dimensions of our projects until we have gotten to the end BUT I can assure you a wild ride on a rainbow and a glorious treasure on the other side.

I’m making the example below with Hue-Mongous yarn and a lot of fun color play with these ten colors. Feel free to experiment.

The goal is to create a large square that we can turn into a pillow cover and if you are feeling quite brave, you can play along as I make four of them in different color plans and join them together for an incredible blanket.

All parts of the CAL will be available here for free and when the instructions and photos are complete you can download a premium pattern with everything included plus additional notes and help.

Part 1

The first part of the CAL is the Tiny Puddle motif, which is part of a family of patterns called the Flower Puddles Collection.

The instructions can be found here: Part One, rounds 1-7

Part 2

The second part of the CAL focuses on incredible corners and squaring the Tiny Puddle.

The instructions can be found here: Part One, rounds 8-15

Part 3

Part three reveals a raised diamond pattern in cables as you see high and low textures emerge.

The instructions can be found here: Part One, rounds 16-21

Hi – I’d like to do a series of these and make them into a blanket, but I want to do them as a temperature blanket – i.e. each color represents a certain temperature range. For this to work I’d need the completed pattern to be at least 31 rounds and ending up as a square somewhere from round 25-30. I know that it kinda defeats the purpose of a CAL but if you could give me a hint as to whether this will fit your pattern, I’m happy to start working 🙂 If it’s a spoiler, feel free to email me.

Wow! I really couldn’t tell you off the top of my head, so far, this is already pretty large and I’m only into Round15 (up through Part 2). Let me get past Part 3 and see how large it is and that may help you determine if this pattern is gonna work for you.

I just want to say “thank you” for this CAL. I have happened upon it at a perfect time, as my daughter asked for a cushion cover. She is choosing the colours for each round and it is looking lovely so far. (My first time doing a CAL too!)

I’m stuck on round 6 with the FPDC 2 together. No matter what I do it doesn’t look right.

I am having a problem between round 13 and 14…it goes from 13 sc, to 7 and we only skip 2 sc on each side. Stitch count also drops from 140 to 124…can you take a peek?

Thank you! I fixed it. I made a copy and paste error but R13 has been corrected.
