Pattern Notes:

Yarn colors are called out in each round. Joining of new colors is done at the slip stich join at the end of each Round.

Round 16: (bright orange) (Skip 1 stitch, single crochet in next 4 stitches, skip 1 stitch, Fpdc around post stitch, hdc around next 12 stitches, hdc + ch2 + hdc in ch2 space, hdc around next 12 stitches, Fpdc around post stitch) 4x. Join with slip stitch to top of first stitch from beginning of round. (34sts per section, 136sts total, including chain stitches)

Round 17: (red) (Skip 1 stitch, single crochet in next 3 stitches, Fpdc around post stitch, skip 1 stitch, sc in next 12 stitches, 2hdc + ch2 + 2hdc in ch2 space, skip the hidden stitch in the corner, sc in next 12 stitches, FPDC around the post stitch) 4x. Join with slip stitch to top of first st from beginning of round. (36sts per section, 144sts, including chain stitches)

Round 18: (bright yellow)  [Skip 1 stitch, single crochet in next 2 stitches, Fpdc around post stitch, (Puff stitch in next stitch, ch1, skip 1 stitch) 7 times, Puff stitch + ch2 + Puff stitch in ch2 space, ch1, skip 1 stitch, (Puff stitch in next stitch, ch1, skip 1 stitch) 7 times, Final Puff st in ea set is worked into top of post st, DO NOT ch1 AFTER FINAL PUFF ST] 4x. Join with slip stitch to top of first st from beginning of round. (20sts per section,80sts, NOT including chain stitches)
Notes for Round 18: (1) A Puff st includes a ch1 to finish, in this round you will make an additional ch1 in between the Puff sts. Essentially you will make 2 ch sts, one to finish the Puff st and one to add space between them. (2) There are a lot of chain sts in this round and they are easy to confuse with the tops of the Puff sts so we are NOT including chain sts in the stitch count for this round.

Round 19: (hot pink) [Skip 1 stitch, single crochet in next stitch, Fpdc around post stitch, single crochet in next st, (single crochet in top of puff stitch, hdc into the skipped stitch between the puff stitches from previous round *you are working into stitches from R17) 7x, single crochet into top of puff stitch, 2hdc + ch2 + 2hdc in ch2 space, (single crochet in top of puff stitch, hdc into the skipped stitch between the puff stitches from previous round *you are working into stitches from R17) 7x, single crochet into top of puff stitch, single crochet into top of post stitch, Fpdc around the post stitch] 4x. Join with slip stitch to top of first st from beginning of round. (41sts per section,164sts, including chain stitches)

Round 20: (orange)  Ch1, skip post stitch, [single crochet in next stitch, (single crochet in next stitch, Bphdc around next stitch) 7x, single crochet in next stitch, Bphdc around next 2 stitches, (hdc + ch2 + hdc) in chain 2 space, Bphdc around next 2 stitches, (single crochet in next stitch, Bphdc around next stitch) 7x, single crochet in next 2 stitches, Fpdc2tog around both post stitches] 4x. Join with slip stitch to top of first single crochet from beginning of round. (42sts per section, 168sts, including chain stitches)

Round 21: (bright yellow) (Skip 1 stitch, hdc in next 18 stitches, hdc + ch2 + hdc in ch2 space, skip the hidden stitch in the corner, hdc in next 18 stitches, (Fpdc + ch3 + Fpdc around the Fpdc2tog stitch) 4x. Join with slip stitch to top of first st from beginning of round. (45sts per section, 180sts, including chain stitches)
